1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. We also use related technologies such as local storage (a similar mechanism, used to remember small bits of state across visits without sending them to our server). For simplicity we refer to all of them as “cookies” on this page.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

These keep the website functioning. Without them you would not be able to sign in, complete a booking, or move around the site safely. They do not require your consent under PECR because they are essential to providing the service you have requested.

kg_admin_session — keeps an administrator signed in to the admin portal (HttpOnly, Secure)
kg_admin_user_session — newer multi-user admin session token
kg_contractor_session — keeps a contractor signed in to the contractor portal
kg_admin_session (legacy break-glass) — only ever active when explicitly enabled by a system administrator

Functional storage

Small preferences stored in your browser's local storage. These are not strictly necessary, but they do not identify you and we do not share them with anyone.

kg_cookie_consent — remembers whether you have responded to the cookie banner so we don't ask again
kg-admin-nav-collapsed — admin-portal-only; remembers which sidebar groups you collapsed

Analytics

We do not currently load any analytics, advertising, social-media tracking or third-party measurement cookies. If we add any in future we will not load them until you have given consent through the cookie banner, and we will update this policy first.

3. Managing cookies

You can manage cookies in your browser at any time. Most browsers let you block all cookies, allow only first-party cookies, or clear them on close. Doing so may stop you from staying signed in or completing a booking.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we add new categories of cookies we will refresh the banner so you can re-consent.
